Anna Yuschuk is a contemporary artist working in painting, drawing and fine print media.
Exploring human consciousness through minimalist paintings that bridge the gap between
representational and abstract works, Anna compels the viewer to focus on the act of seeing
itself. Her work emphasizes mindfulness and quality of the direct experience rather then describing an exterior world.
Yuschuk was born and studied art in Lviv, Ukraine, graduating from Lviv State Academy of
Fine Arts in 1989.
In 1990, just before the collapse of the former Soviet Union, Yuschuk immigrated to Canada.
Since her move to Toronto she showed her artwork in over forty exhibitions in commercial and public galleries. She received artist's grants from Ontario Arts Council and Mississauga Art Council. Anna's paintings can be found in private and public collections in Canada, USA, Australia and UK.
